Our love story
After 12 years together with lots of joy, laughter, warmth and love, we are finally ready. The decision has been made – we are moving ahead and getting married.

After you have been installed in your B&B, we gather at 7 pm in the charming piazza next to the church and open the festivities with a toast. Presented on top of the ancient well from the 12th century, we are offered a classic "antipasto" and then a local hand-rolled pasta is served Pici all'Aglione, followed by roasted meat and a salad. All rounded off with Italian almond crust dipped in the good dessert wine Vino Santo.
There will be plenty of red carafe wine during the dinner, and if something else is desired, it may well be found at the bar.

Whether you've spent the third day driving around Tuscany's rolling hills, bathing in hot springs, wine tasting, or just recovering from last night's festivities, we'd love to gather you all back together, and enjoy another afternoon and evening together.
​
Take a short walk from your accommodation and drop in at Villa Apparita. Have a beer, take a dip in the pool and enjoy the beautiful view. Wood-fired pizzas made by a master chef will be served and the bar is open between 4-8pm.

Wedding venue
We have chosen to celebrate our wedding at Villa Apparita overlooking the medieval villages Pienza and Monticchiello and the iconic hills of Val d'Orcia.
​
The Villa is located along the country road that leads up to the charming village of Monticchiello, located in the central parts of Tuscany between Rome and Florence.
If you come by car, you have the opportunity to explore the area and well-known nearby medieval villages such as e.g. Pienza & Montepulciano.
​
How to get here
FLY
Fly to Pisa, Florence or Rome.
​
TRAIN
You can take the train from Rome or Pisa/Florence to Chiusi-Chianciano Terme station. Tickets can be booked through trenitalia.com. From there you can take a taxi outside the station, alternatively pre-book via this number: +39 351 937 6465 (Taxi Antonello). Cost approximately €80-€100 from Chiusi station.
TRANSFER
If there are several of you who would like to be picked up at the airport or train station (for an extra cost)? Pls inform us and we will provide information about the shuttle.

CAR
​​The easiest way to get there for you is to rent your own car and drive through Tuscany's undulating landscape. It neither goes fast nor quick, but it is immensely beautiful and there are reasons to stop a little here and there. Maybe you wish to get together as a group and carpool? It is easy to pre-book a car via for example rentalcars.com.

DRIVE IN ITALY
How is driving in Italy then? It's not hard, but it doesn't hurt to read some tips on e.g. this link which can make the journey easier.

​PARKING
Free parking is available at the bottom of the hill at the village entrance, or at the Villa. It is also possible to drive to both weddings and pool parties and park the car there overnight.
​
​
VAL D'ORCIA
We are in the Val d'Orcia nature reserve (listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List), which offers many attractions and is the most photographed part of Tuscany. Just strolling around the small village is lovely, but there is plenty to see within just a quarter of an hour's drive.
​

Bagno Vignoni + San Filippo (Hot springs)
San Quirico d'Orcia (Etruscan history)
Montalcino (Brunello wines)

EXCURSION IDEAS
Drive 15 min. to the romantic village of Pienza, stroll along Via dell Amore with a wonderful view of the hills and enjoy a good lunch before rolling on to the thermal village of Bagno Vignoni or Bagno San Filippo. Take a dip in the natural hot springs, before turning back for the afternoon's festivities.​
Accommodation

We have reserved accommodation for all guests at charming B&Bs in and around the village. Distance to the festivities is 0-1200 meters for everyone, depending on what day.
​
You will be informed of your accommodation well in advance of the wedding, and the B&B owners will send you information about your particular check-in at the latest on the day of arrival. If you have any other questions about the accommodation, please contact them directly after we have announced where you will be staying. Check-out at 10.30am.
​
BREAKFAST
Some B&Bs serve breakfast, at others there is self-catering. There is a small shop in the newer part of the village (outside the ring wall and halfway to the Villa), alternatively there are restaurants and bars in the village.
​
LUNCH
There are several restaurants in the village. For example, the wine bar La Guardiola, which serves good lunches. Or take the car to the countryside and Il Casale.
​
PRICE
€350/person
(accommodation cost regardless of the number of nights) is paid upon RSVP to Olle. Extra City Tax €1/person/night to be paid in cash directly to the B&B.
